The activities of the DAV’s Young Actuaries Network (in German “Netzwerk Junge Aktuarinnen und Aktuare”) are intended to make it easier to maintain and establish initial contacts across companies stemming from universities, DAV training or professional events. There are opportunities to do so at various events like local get-togethers that are organized by volunteers from the network in 10 different cities across Germany. Activities include social events like visits to Christmas Markets, bowling and game nights as well as joint trips to a local pub.
The network’s activitities are aimed at members and candidates of DAV up to the age of around 35 to help them connect beyond the daily actuarial business and form connections and friendships with the actuarial community. The aim for the future is to broaden the scope by including young professionals from other European actuarial associations.
